2014 Blanc de Cabernet: Albastrele from Moldova. A white wine made from red Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, a gentle press, skins removed at once. It really is a white wine!
A unique character, passion fruit, peachy, good acidity, 13%. Very different, highly recommended @ only $8.99, find at Russian Bazaar : 424 Cambridge St, Allston, MA 02134.
Pairing- I’m serving it with Food for Life gluten free Raisin Pecan bread: ever so lightly toasted then topped with unsalted grass-fed butter and sliced red radish from my local farmers market. Sprinkled with a little Cyprus Black Lava sea salt from Beyond the Shaker.
I also enjoyed radish with butter on Russian Rye bread served at the Boston Wine School paired with Riesling.
I read that radish and butter on bread is the chosen after-school snack for French kids (certainly healthier than cookies and milk or cheese and crackers ). Our bodies and brains require healthy fats for optimal functioning and grass-fed butter is a healthy fat, used in moderation during your day.
Most people have never heard of Vitamin K, but it is one of the most important nutrients for optimal heart and bone health. Vitamin K1 is found in plant foods like leafy greens and we have Vitamin K2 found in animal foods.

Radishes have all kinds of healthful benefits. The good in radishes:
